At the foot of the Rhône Valley Grands Crus, this IGP Vin de Pays since 2009 is produced in some cantons of the Southern Rhône, Loire, Isère, Northern Drôme and Northern Ardèche. More present in the northern part of the Rhone Valley, some vineyards that are part of the appellation allow to compete with the AOC of the Rhone region.
Planted in the drôme des collines, similar to the mounts of the Lyonnais, the vineyard represents 310 hectares. The main grape varieties for the reds are gamay, syrah, merlot and pinot (authorized yield 80hl/hectare). Most of the wines are single-varietal vintages.
