This denomination extends over a large part of the Southwest, which is why it is classified in the regional IGP. Comté Tolosan can be produced in red, white and rosé.
The IGP Comté Tolosan when it is elaborated with gamay, duras, cot, merlot and cabernet sauvignon, gives a wine with a garnet robe and purplish reflections.
The nose is typified, racy, with notes of red fruits, redcurrant, strawberry and black fruits, discreetly touches of spices, menthol and liquorice are present.
On the palate it is a powerful, full-bodied wine, with good substance and pleasant fruit. It should be drunk young within 3 years.
