IGP Comté Tolosan is an appellation located in the South-West basin, bordered by the mountainous massifs of the Pyrenees to the south, the Massif Central to the north and east, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. It is one of the 5 regional IGP of France. It encompasses 12 departments, including the 8 of Occitania, and brings together under its banner a wide diversity of terroirs and grape varieties. Its wines are rather white on the left bank of the Garonne, with two different styles:
The dry white wines are of a remarkable aromatic power and complex, with floral and fruity aromas. The grape varieties used are : Chardonnay, chenin, colombard, mauzac, muscadelle, sauvignon blanc, semillon, ugni-blanc...
The sparkling white wines are of an aromatic finesse with a good acidity giving freshness in the mouth.
