The Valais appellation is located in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Most of the vineyards in the Valais are planted on the mountainous slopes between 400 and 700 m above sea level.
In addition to international grape varieties such as Syrah, Pinot Noir or Chasselas, the Valais also offers native grape varieties such as Cornalin or, Humagne Rouge.
