Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is the cradle of Burgundian viticulture. This wine-growing estate, a dependency of the Cîteaux Abbey until the Revolution and whose castle and cellar have housed the brotherhood of the Knights of Tastevin since 1944, is described as the acropolis of wine-growing Burgundy.
Celebrated all over the world, the Clos de Vougeot is without doubt the most famous, the most emblematic, the most mythical of the great vintages of Burgundy. The most famous but also the largest in surface area since, eighty-five owners share 50 ha, 95 ares and 76 centiares divided into 134 plots within the famous walled enclosure.
