The AOC Chambolle-Musigny corresponds to the vineyard of the same name located in the extension of the Morey-Saint-Denis appellation area, north of that of Vougeot.
The vineyards cover a total area of 180 hectares and produce 6,700 hectoliters of wine each year. The white wines are produced with a Premier Cru status.
The wines produced here are consequently less powerful, and are said to be the most "feminine" of the Côte. The communal appellation extends over the eastern and western edges of the vineyard. The 24 Premiers Crus and the 2 Grands Crus Musigny and Bonnes-Mares, which also make up this area, are located in the center and south.
One finds in the whole of the production the characteristics of the grape variety, well typified juices, with fruity aromas of cherry and raspberry, with notes of flowers such as violet. Depending on their location in the vineyard, the vines evolve in different "climates" that nuance the personality of the wines.
