the catalpa is a south american tree with purple and yellow petals that grows on the atamisque estate. the wine is made with grapes from strains of 80 years located at 1,300 meters altitude. it is then aged for 12 months in french oak barrels and 6 months in bottle before being released. deep in color, the aromatic palette, very expressive and complex, offers notes of currant, wild strawberry, plum, blueberry, blackberry, blue flowers, as well as elegant notes of mocha and tobacco. on the palate, this malbec is elegant, voluptuous and lively, with silky and greedy tannins that end in a long finish.
