deep dark ruby staple, black core, purple highlights. entrusted with blackberry tabakig-vegetal nose, a touch of blackcurrant and liquorice, tender like orange peel. fresh on the palate, fruit of complex dark berries, after the vistula, very high storage potential. is a selection of the oldest vines and best locations in neckenmarkt. the sticks are found in nine plots on 75 percent shale, 20 percent limestone and five percent clay soils. the grapes are harvested separately per plot, fermented and processed into 500 liters for at least eight months. then, first raw mixture of layers and twelve additional months of excavation expansion of 500 liters. with this very labour-intensive treatment, we acquire important empirical values on the different layers year after year. only in this way can we choose the best barrels for each specific vintage that characterize the character of neckenmarkter desired of this great wine in the mix. vines from 39 to 82 years old, yield of 2500 litres of hectare, duration of harvest from 19 to 23 days, spontaneous fermentation in stands of fermentation of wood.
