"cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, petit verdot and merlot on limestone soils at an altitude of 1000 m. developed by raúl bobet (who also produces the magnificent red wine of priorat ferrer bobet). alcoholic fermentation in 12th century stone pressins. aged for 12 months in 70% new french oak barrels. this wine is the result of a combination of four grape varieties: cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, petit verdot and merlot. the name chosen for this wine refers to a challenge, the one that raúl bobet surely raised when he decided to ferment all this wine in the ancient stone pressins carved by the monks hospitallers in the 12th century. the blending is decided according to the vintage, and the blend of this vintage is a wine with floral aromas and marked notes of black fruits like blackberry. its passage through the mouth is silky and nervous."
