"four grape varieties are present on the property: - two reds: merlot and cabernet franc - two whites: sémillon and sauvignon gris the grapes are harvested manually or mechanically depending on the vintage. all winemaking (fermentation phase) is done without sulphur to reduce the total sulphur in your bottle. some wines are even made without added sulphur. château la brande develops its fronsac wines according to 3 methods in order to meet everyone’s tastes. whether in vats for 18 months or in oak barrels for 24 months, in single-layer vats or in merlot and cabernet franc blends, our fronsac wines all benefit from the same attention. since 2020, our work has been complemented by amphora breeding. expressive and modern at the same time, this wine is distinguished by its generosity of fruit. the nose, clear and expressive, evokes black fruits, with notes of sweet spices. the mouth is elegant with ripe tannins. a harmonious finish: fresh, tasty and finely spicy."
