"since the 14th century, wine has been vital to this family, which has been passing on its passion for grenache, the king grape of châteauneuf-du-pape, over the generations. today, the estate covers about fifteen hectares mainly spread over the northern, northeast part of this prestigious appellation. at the estate, everything is done to let the vine express its potential in a natural way: the fertilizers are natural the harvests are manual and the clusters are carefully selected. in the cellar, the winemaking is slow and gentle. currently, julien barrot and his older sister laetitia run the estate. the wines are made with a great finesse and a nice fruity touch. true to its passion for grenache, the estate produces the signature cuvée in which this grape dominates and is completed with mourvèdre, syrah and cinsault. mourvèdre and syrah were aged on fine lees in burgundian barrels of 2 to 3 wines. for their part, the other grape varieties were bred in lightning and stainless steel vats. the wine was then aged for a year and a half and bottled without filtration. powerful and delicate, it is first revealed through a pretty dark red dress that announces aromas of black fruits and spicy notes. on the palate, we are seduced by its flavors of the same register and its assertive tannins that refine over time. a wine to be tasted with a goulash."
