bruno clair is the grandson of joseph clair (of the famous clair daü estate). he founded his estate in 1979 in marsannay and subsequently inherited some of his grandfather's plots. the vineyard is thus made up of endless plots of very high quality, especially in gevrey-chambertin and morey-saint-denis, where the wines are among the most appreciated in the appellation, whether white or red. bruno clair has also acquired new plots in the municipalities of pernand-vergelesses, aloxe-corton and fixin. take a look: bonnes mares, clos de bèze, corton-charlemagne... the quality of maturation and the precision of vinification make it possible to reveal these magnificent terroirs at their best. the estate's wines are thus very precise and fine and do not lack elegance and intensity. the palette is wide and varied, rosé and burgundy white will accompany your best tapas, while the first and great vintages will sublimate your best receptions and your best recipes, after a few years in the cellar. it is undoubtedly a domain at the top of the burgundy. it is one of the most renowned grands crus of burgundy. it is located on the border between morey-saint-denis and chambolle-musigny. it spreads over 15 hectares of vineyards... it is... the grand cru of bonnes mares! another rarity that the bruno clair estate also owns, on the morey-saint-denis side, right next to the clos de tart! the soil is made of white clayey marl, which allows the pinot noir to express all its complexity and finesse. once harvested, the grapes are partially destemmed before the indigenous yeasts naturally start the fermentation process at low temperatures. the wine then ages from 16 to 22 months, depending on the vintage, in burgundian oak barrels on fine lees. the bonnes-mares from the estate displays floral (violet) and fruity (plum, red fruit) aromas. in the mouth there are nuances of red fruits (raspberry, blackcurrant), accompanied by sweet spices.
