The Griotte-Chambertin appellation covers an area of 2.65 hectares, in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin in Burgundy. This Grand Cru appellation benefits from varied soils on a hard-rocky hillside.
Griotte-Chambertin produces only red Pinot Noir wines. On the palate, they are powerful, elegant and complex. It is often advised to wait about ten years before drinking a bottle of Griotte-Chambertin.
