The AOC Morgon is one of the Beaujolais Crus. The vineyard benefits from an eastern exposure on the gentle slopes of the Mont de Py. Its surface area is 1.110 hectares.
This appellation produces about 56,000 hectoliters of juice per year. Although they are made from the same grape variety (Gamay), the wines of Morgon are complex like the soils that make up their terroir.
The aromas of these reds are of stone fruits, with important spicy and kirsch notes. These wines are long on the palate and, as they age, acquire these famous sherry notes, while gaining in amplitude. They therefore have a very good ageing potential.
