The AOC Richebourg, located north of the Romanée-Conti appellation, is part of the Grands Crus of Vosne. The vineyard covers 8 hectares 3 ares and 45 centiares on the localities called Le Richebourg and Les Verriolles. Located halfway up the slope, the vineyard is exposed towards the East, or even east/north-east on Les Verriolles. On this location, the harvest is therefore slightly delayed.
The soils are thin, 30 cm thick at the most, which requires the vines to go deep into the limestone marls of the Bajocian to find the elements necessary for their survival. The complexity of this Grand Cru is therefore partly due to the fact that the vines tend to suffer from this climate.
