The Volnay Premier Cru of Faiveley are perched high on the Côte de Beaune, in Burgundy. The narrow and sloping terroir leaves all its comforts to the vine. Volnay leans against the small mountain of Chaignot. This AOC was instituted in 1937 and covers 206 hectares of pinot noir, 118 of which are classified as Premier Cru. The wines of Volnay are exclusively red, made from the Pinot Noir grape variety with a potential of 8 to 10 years of aging.
