Jura red wines are produced in two of the four geographical AOCs that make up the Vignoble du Jura. The reds are very present in AOC Arbois, contributing greatly to the reputation of the appellation.
Over the years, these Jura reds have made a name for themselves for their inimitable qualities. Brilliant, delicious, delicate, astonishing... there is no lack of adjectives to describe these wines which have enough to fill with wonder the palates in search of novelty. From aperitif to dessert, they are generous, graceful, full of roundness and finesse.
They can also be found under the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée Côtes du Jura. It is not surprising that the neighboring town of Pupillin is the "world capital" of Le Ploussard and that of Montigny-les-Arsures the capital of Le Trousseau! Two typically Jura red grape varieties also cultivated alongside Pinot Noir under the appellation Côtes du Jura.
