The AOC Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet is a Grand Cru of the Puligny and Chassagne-Montrachet area. Its vineyard covers only 3 hectares.
The soils are rather thick and clayey, which makes them less draining. The vines of Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet nevertheless benefit from a good eastern exposure, and produce wines worthy of their Grand Cru status. They produce 172 hectoliters of it each year.
The Chardonnay expresses itself in a way very close to that of the Bâtard-Montrachet appellation, through opulence, a very massive structure and very rich aromas. These white Grands Crus have a very good ageing potential.
