The fame of these wines was forged by the Romans in Bordeaux until the 18th century, year after year! Exceptional castles have gradually emerged from the void since the 17th century: Yquem, Haut-Brion, Mouton-Rothschild, Lafite, Latour, Margaux.
All these legendary Bordeaux wines can be found on the tables of the great starred restaurants. The geological diversity of Bordeaux has a lot to do with the quality and complexity of the wines. But there is also a very great tradition of wine maturing: the Bordeaux style. This maturing process gives the wines a very special bouquet but also an exceptional ageing capacity.
