The AOC Saint-Julien is located in the geographical center of the Médoc between Pauillac and Margaux. It's the smallest appellation of the Médoc in surface area, it represents only 910 ha of vines.
The vineyard produces every year 41,000 hl of red wines, the vineyard of Saint-Julien is quite exceptional. Despite its small surface area, Saint-Julien has eleven classified growths, which represents 80% of the AOC. Among them, the famous Château Léoville Las Cases or the Châteaux Beychevelle, Talbot, Ducru-Beaucaillou. Saint-Julien wines have a remarkable aptitude for ageing.
