The regional appellation Bergerac Rouge was recognized as an AOC in 1936. It covers the whole Bergerac territory. This AOC produces more red wine in the vineyard.
Bergerac Reds are fine, supple wines whose predominant characteristic is fruit. Easy to drink, they can be drunk young. Fresh and fruity, but with a good structure, they will be perfect with poultry liver terrines or cheeses of character.
