deutz brut classic 300 cl
Reference: 308Stock: 1 (stock immediately available)
Condition: bottle in perfect condition
founded in 1838 in the commune of aÿ, the deutz champagne house, formerly known as deutz geldermann, is the result of the meeting between william deutz and pierre-hubert geldermann, two young wine merchants from aachen. they combine their expertise and knowledge of the market to successfully develop the champagne house. their double culture (french excellence and german rigour) was one of the essential factors of their success. year after year sales continued to increase and were extended when rené deutz and alfred geldermann inherited the business from their fathers in the late 1860's. this is a blend of 57% pinot noir from ay, verzenay and bouzy (all grand cru) and 43% chardonnay from avize, chouilly (both grand cru) villers-marmery (premier cru). the colour is an intense pink. the nose reveals delicate notes of red fruits such as wild strawberries and redcurrants, enhanced by fine vanilla notes. on the palate: crushed wild strawberries, blackcurrant and spices such as grey pepper ending on a pastry note. very good length. the cuvée amour de deutz rosé 2009 will be the perfect companion for any emotional moment. an exceptional aperitif, it is a perfect accompaniment to pure, delicate and harmonious dishes. it will be the perfect match for grilled lobster or the fine, fragile flesh of delicate fish such as red mullet or saint-pierre. this prestigious cuvée comes in a luxurious gift box. the recently released 2009 brut rosé millésime amour de deutz is showing beautifully, wafting from the glass with a classy bouquet of citrus oil, crisp red apple, warm brioche, sourdough bread and dried rose petals. on the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, fine-boned and elegant, with racy acids, a pretty core of fruit, a delicate mousse and a deceptively long finish. understated but displaying terrific finesse, this wine exemplifies the deutz style.
