located in cumières, rené geoffroy and his son, jean-baptiste, have a predilection for red grape varieties, either pinot noir or pinot meunier, the chardonnay being used only as a supplement. for more than fifteen years, they have been committed to sustainable viticulture and produce full-bodied and vinous champagnes thanks to the generous amount of sunshine, as all the cumières vines are on hillsides, which is rare in champagne. another rare characteristic, the vinifications are carried out in oak barrels by avoiding systematically the malolactic, which makes it possible to maintain a good acidity. the champagne expression is the first cuvée of the house. systematically made from a blend of one year and our perpetual reserve started in 1970, this champagne seduces by its fruity dominance, its balance and its surprising freshness at the end of the mouth.
