The AOC Corton is one of the two Corton mountain wines classified as Grands Crus. This appellation can be accompanied by the name of the climates of origin of the wines.
The Corton appellation covers nearly 100 hectares, divided between the communes of Aloxe-Corton, Ladoix-Serrigny and Pernand-Vergelesses.
The vines benefit from diversified climates with rather stony soils, limestone and rich in marl. The red wines made from Pinot Noir show power and a formidable structure.
