The AOC Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Grand Cru de Vosne in the Côte de Nuits, covers an area of 9 hectares 43 ares and 74 centiares.
The soils making up the vineyard are brown limestone clayey, with a good content of active limestone and a clay content of 50%. They have a depth of 90 centimeters, and are well exposed towards the east. They rest on a substratum of marls from the Bajocian. It is a terroir of predilection for pinot noir, the unique grape variety of this Grand Cru.
