Next to the Atlantic Ocean, this Gros Plant Du Pays Nantais vineyard bordering the Loire Valley has been producing a delimited wine of superior quality for fifty years on an area of 1300 hectares. This wine, whose name recalls the size of the vine stock, is made from a single grape variety: la folle blanche, of Charentaise origin, here called grosplant.
Produced in three departments, Loire-Atlantique, Maine-et-Loire and Vendée, it mainly benefits from the temperate oceanic climate. The very concentrated sunshine during the vine growing period has a favorable influence on the maturity of the grapes. The terroir with green and metamorphic rocks is made up of brown soils at medium depth. This wine, with a pale robe, green reflections, vegetal and floral aromas, benefits from a maturing on lees giving it freshness and lightness.
