pascal roblet's roots in volnay go back to the 17th century on his mother's side and four generations on his father's side. domaine roblet-monnot owns 6 hectares in volnay. pascal's conversion to biodynamic viticulture in 1997 together with his high-density planting, 12,000 vines per hectare, and very low yields, 30-35 hectoliters per hectare, are part of what has transformed his domaine into one of the main sources of wine from these communes. the red fruits are present on the nose and on the palate. vintage red burgundies keep well and can generally be kept for many years before being bottled.
