"it is a vineyard located in argentina in mendoza and planted at the very beginning of the 20th century in 1902 and managed by a fourth generation holder of this prestigious heritage. the adrianna vineyard mundus wine from a unique plot planted exclusively in malbec grape that is also found in bordeaux in france. the plot is very small and covers only 1.3 hectares at an altitude of more than 1300 meters from sea level. very favorable and indispensable qualitative factor, the soil is very calcareous with some marls. a rarity because it is a mono-parcel wine, mono-grape harvested exclusively in 2018 and also mono-vintage the entire harvest is manual and the berries are sorted in the cellar. after the first fermentations, the clear wines are housed in french oak barrels then in barrels for about 18 months thus promoting the qualitative evolution of tannins and especially the roundness in the mouth mixed with a hint of oaky vanilla on the nose as on the palate, at first the wine asserts itself powerful but round, on touches of small red fruits like black cherry, blueberry or blackcurrant. on the palate and in the second perception, the tannins are well chiseled just present with a nice length on the blond tobacco, chocolate and mocha and an elegant hint of woody vanilla in the end.. food/wine pairings: a beef rib grilled on the barbecue, a beef filet with potatoes in a shirt stuffed with echiré buttered butter, fantastic on a dark chocolate fondant interspersed with an xo cognac and volutes of cohiba or romeo and juliette cigar. splendid on red fruit or apricot pies."
