"the name of the leflaive domain will remain for a long time associated with its famous ambassador anne-claude who with the energy of the pioneers converted the domain to biodynamic between 1993 and 1997. the leflaive family has lived in puligny since 1717. but it took the engineering, of a marine engineer, polytechnic, to revive a field devastated by phylloxera. after having participated in the design of the first french submarine, joseph leflaive returned to his native village, replanting and publicizing the wines of the estate well beyond french borders. the third generation, olivier and his cousin anne-claude, will dedicate the estate to the top of the burgundian hierarchy. tasting the wines of the estate is a unique experience for any amateur. the particular attention paid to the vineyard and winemaking allows the wines, particularly rich, to reveal all the subtleties of the different burgundian terroirs. montrachet, bastard, knight, welcome-bastard and the first folatières or pucelles crus are wines with fundamentally different identities. rare wines, to taste at least once in his amateur life! just look at the map of the village of puligny-montrachet to convince yourself of the greatness of the pucelles terroir in puligny-montrachet: it adjoins the bâtard-montrachet. the leflaive estate farms 3 hectares on this 1st cru with three plots: ""le clos du meix"", ""la petite"" and ""la grande"". it is a wine with perfect balance, it presents a beautiful richness but retains a very nice acidity. the mineral lengthening of the wine is exceptional."
