"the name of domaine leflaive will long be associated with its famous ambassador anne-claude who, with the energy of a pioneer, converted the estate to biodynamic farming between 1993 and 1997. the leflaive family has lived in puligny since 1717. but it took the genius of a maritime engineer and polytechnician to revive an estate devastated by phylloxera. after participating in the design of the first french submarine, joseph leflaive returned to his native village, planted new vines and made the estate's wines known far beyond the french borders. the third generation, olivier and his cousin anne-claude, will consecrate the estate at the top of the burgundy hierarchy. tasting the estate's wines is a unique experience for any wine lover. the particular attention paid to the vines and the vinification allows the wines, particularly rich, to reveal all the subtleties of the different burgundian terroirs. montrachet, bâtard, chevalier, bienvenues-bâtard and the premier crus folatières or pucelles are wines with fundamentally different identities. rare cuvées, to be tasted at least once in your life as a wine lover! for many wine lovers, domaine leflaive produces one of the best bâtard-montrachet. the wine is golden in colour with greenish tints and has a complexity rarely found in a white wine, with characteristic aromas of honey, hazelnut, lime blossom and a hint of dried fruit. racy, round, fat and tasty, domaine leflaive's bâtard montrachet develops an exceptional persistence in the mouth."
