Along this Valdeorras valley, they mainly produce nice, simple white wines, offering a good quality/price ratio, and which are mainly drunk in the region. The vineyards are located at an average altitude of 300 m.
Valdeorras is not a region very well known for its wine, but for another product: schist. It is even the largest exporter of schist in the world! It is therefore not difficult to guess what is the subsoil of the vineyards ... Valdeorras is mainly the domain of Godello, a grape variety that is also found, to a lesser extent, elsewhere in Galicia.
