On the left bank of the Rhône, at the 45th parallel, the largest vineyard of the northern appellations is spread over 11 communes of the Drôme: the Crozes-Hermitage vineyard. A prestigious cru, Crozes-Hermitage is available in red wines made from Syrah.
For these red wines: Syrah offers a beautiful balance between fruit and tannins. Gourmet and tender, their color is garnet red and their nose is composed of red fruits and floral aromas, even if some winemakers play the card of charming robustness. A wine for medium cellaring, it can be enjoyed in its youth. Fresh in the early years, it acquires over the years more animal notes of spices and leather.
