Here, the vineyards of Upper Hemel En Harde Valley are planted between fields of native "fynbos" and in close proximity to the sea. The ideal soil types combine with the refreshing sea breezes to create a terroir that rivals the best in the world, resulting in wines with minerality, elegance, liveliness and finesse.
The best value for money is to be found in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Pinot Noir valley. The "Upper" district, scattered with granite, produces more aromas and finer acidity than the "Valley" and "Ridge" districts.
The red wines have a vibrant purple heart with cherry rim. The palate is medium to full-bodied where soft tannins contribute to a fine structure. A well-balanced wine with a persistent and memorable finish.
