"located in dizy in the heart of the marne valley, the jacquesson champagne house, founded in 1798, was taken over by the chiquet family in 1974. jean-hervé and laurent chiquet, two passionate brothers, produce exceptional cuvées expressing the unique character and richness of these very large terroirs of 28 hectares of chalk, thanks to their parcel-based approach and their singular philosophy of vinification and maturation. with its numbered vintages renowned for their finesse, their airy purity and their exceptional ageing potential, jacquesson is among the elite of the great names in champagne. since 1999, the house of jacquesson has wished to advocate its independence through a cuvée that magnifies each year the ideal blend of what makes champagne unique: its parcels, its grape varieties, its terroir and its people. the launch of cuvée 728 marked the beginning of the manifesto of cuvées 700, each bottle of which bears the three numbers of its birth. jacquesson's cuvée 745 extra-brut is a blend of wines from the same vintage (year 2017), complemented by approximately 30% of reserve wines stored in the cellar for several years. it expresses a fresh, lively and complex profile, with aromas of yellow fruit and citrus. in this process, it is essential to capture the best of each vintage without denying the variations of each harvest. for this blend, the chiquet brothers have selected 66% of the best pinot noir and meunier grapes from the vineyards of the villages of aÿ, dizy and hautvillers, and 34% of the chardonnay grapes from the vineyards of the villages of avize and oiry. add 2017: a rigorous selection resulted in a low volume of ripe and healthy grapes. the resulting wines were dense and were complemented by some reserve wines."
