Located near Libourne, the Pomerol appellation is famous for the famous Petrus, one of the rarest and most expensive wines in the world. Contrary to the Graves and Saint-Emilion, the Pomerol appellation was not included in the 1855 classification, but its reputation is no less good.
The Pomerol terroir is composed of 770 hectares of vines which produce 31,000 hectolitres of wine annually.
